City announces construction on Dorset Horn Lane

This just in fro the city about road construction:

The City of Bristol will be reconstructing Dorset  Horn Lane starting Wednesday September 5, 2012.  The work will take approximately three weeks to complete.

As part of this project the existing pavement will be removed, recycled, and the underlying layer will be graded and paved.

Residents are advised that the portion of driveways located within the city roadway right of way will be disturbed and reconstructed as part of the project.  Once construction is complete, the City will restore affected areas by loaming, seeding, repairing walkways, and driveway aprons.

There may be minor traffic delays during construction, however the road will remain open for mail delivery, emergency vehicles, and local traffic at all times. Temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted as needed during construction.

If you should have questions or concerns about this project, please feel free to contact Public Works at (860) 584-6297.
