Bristol Water Department Launches Paperless Billing
Bristol, CT, October 2, 2012- Customers of the Bristol Water Department will now be able to have their water bills sent directly to an email account.
“We have received many requests from our customers to have their bills sent electronically as well as providing a more customer friendly On-Line payment system”, said Water Superintendent Robert Longo. “We wanted to simplify the process for our customers and allow them the ability to review their billing history at any time.”
The new system not only allows customers the option to sign up for Paperless billing if they choose, but customers can also sign up for Auto-Pay, where payment is directly debited to a checking account or credit card a few weeks after the bill is sent. An email is sent to the customer 5 days prior, so that the customer can make any changes if needed. Customers can also sign up for Flex Pay, where a bill can be paid in installments. Once a history is established, customers can use the new system to review up to 18 months of billing and payment information as well as reprint bills. Customers who would rather not register in the new system do have the option to use it to make a One Time Payment.
Customers can sign up by logging on to the Bristol Water Department’s website at www.bristolwaterdept.org, and clicking the button titled “View/Pay”. The link sends the customer to a secure site administered by Invoice Cloud, which handles all of the transactions.
Customers already registered in the old On-Line system will need to re-register in the new system and an email with information on how to register will be sent out in the next few days.
