Line dancing classes begin Monday

LINE DANCE CLASSES

The Bristol Parks and Recreation Department is offering Beginner and Beginner Plus Line dancing classes starting November 19th. Classes are being taught by Ann LaLiberte, former dance instructor at Illusions Restaurant and Dance Club.

Beginner Line Dance classes are being offered on Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Class will meet once a week for 5 weeks. The fee is $25.00. Beginners will learn all the basic steps and simple classic dances. Participants will learn a new dance every week and practice the dances learned the week before. No dance partner is needed.

The Beginner Plus Line Dance class progresses into more difficult line dances. Participants must have previous line dance experience, understand all basic steps, and be comfortable with the simple classic dances. Each week a new dance will be taught as well as a review of previous dances learned. No partner is necessary for Line Dance. Beginner Plus Line Dance will be offered once a week for 5 weeks on Monday nights from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The fee is $25.00.

All classes will be held at the Bristol Senior Community Center gym and will begin November 19th. Participants must be 15 years of age or older to attend the dance classes. Children 10 years old and up may participate with a parent.

Registration is currently being accepted at the Parks and Recreation Department, 2nd Floor, City Hall weekdays between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Registration is also available on line at www.bristolrec.com. For further information please call the Park Office at 584-6160.
