BRISTOL – The Bristol Central boys basketball team is looking to push itself into the upper echelons of the CCC South this coming season.
With a loaded roster and a little size to boot, the Rams will once again be a handful during the 2012-13 campaign.
“For once we have some depth this year which is great,” said Bristol Central coach Tim Barrette. “But we are lacking in game experience at the varsity level. I have some very good athletes this year but they’ve never played at the varsity level. I think as the year goes on, we can get better and better. Maybe in the beginning we struggle a little bit but as these guys get some varsity starts under their belts, I think this team can really have a good season.”
The South is loaded with contenders this year but as the Rams grow in experience, so should the totals in the win column.
“We hope to be in the top-half of the division when the season’s finished,” said Barrette.
