Santa’s coming to Rockwell Park

Santa Claus is coming to Bristol about a week before Christmas and will be making a stop at Rockwell Park. The Bristol Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring the 27th Annual Santa’s Workshop at Mrs. Rockwell’s Pavilion in Rockwell Park on Thursday, Dec. 20 through Sunday, Dec. 23.
This year, some special events include Greene-Hills and West Bristol Chorus on Thursday, Dec. 20. There will be a live petting zoo and horse drawn wagon rides through Rockwell Park on Saturday, Dec. 22 and Sunday, Dec. 23, which are being sponsored by the Greater Bristol Chamber of Commerce. A holiday photo booth will also be set up on Saturday and Sunday.
The workshop will be open Thursday the 20th and Friday the 21st from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and on Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd from noon to 4 p.m. Each year Bristol Central High School students create Santa’s Workshop. Families and children are invited to visit the Winter Wonderland and talk with Santa, receive a free candy cane, and make a holiday craft. Mrs. Claus will also be there, and parents are encouraged to bring cameras.
