Two charged with stealing holiday packages

Two Terryville residents were arrested on Monday after Bristol police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint at 150 Pine St. Kevin Pinette, 42, and MaryAnn Lamper, 36, of 126 Main St., Terryville were both charged with third degree larceny and third degree conspiracy to commit larceny, a press release said.
When police responded to Pine Street, they found a white pickup truck with New York plates, which matched the description of a vehicle used in an earlier reported larceny in the city. After police investigated further, the release said, the truck was also used in a number of larcenies of packages from doorsteps.
“The packages, presumably holiday gifts included clothing, electronic gaming systems and children’s toys,” the release said, adding that Bristol Police recovered about $2,550 of stolen property.
Pinette and Lamper were held at Bristol Police headquarters on bond.
