Search on to find stem cell match for nurse

Julie Roche, a nurse in the ICU unit at the hospital, has been diagnosed with leukemia. And she is in need of marrow match so she can receive a stem cell transplant. Currently, Roche has not been able to find a match. So two events are scheduled to see if a stranger may be Roche’s saving grace.
One event to find a match for Roche will be held at Bristol Hospital, Brewster Road, Bristol on Saturday, Jan. 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The second event will be held at Hillside Community Church, 435 Broad St., Bristol on Sunday, Jan. 27 from 12:15 to 3:15 p.m.
The process for finding the match is a simple swab inside the cheek. For more information about the process of finding a match, go to Marrow.com.
