Local stylist helps teen live her dream, help CCMC at same time

January 19, 2013

WED_7116Tracey Lee Madura Patton, a hairstylist from Bristol, helped 14-year-old Marcie Czewinski fulfill an unusual lifelong dream Saturday.

At Salon E in Farmington on Route 6, at the hands of Patton, Marcie had all of her head shaved off in a fundraiser for the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

Marcie said she had been looking to shave her head since she was a mere 3-years-old. Her mother finally relented as long as she did for a cause. So, she decided to raise funds from her friends if she dared to go completely bald.

Along the way, Marcie roped her father David to shave his head and beard and her mom to trim her locks down to a pixie cut. David Czewinski  helped raise money at Stanley Tools, which then matched the figure. And mother Suzanne also entered into the fundraising fray.WED_7116
