State Representative Christopher Wright (D-Bristol) and State Representative Frank Nicastro (D-Bristol) announced in a press release that the State Bond Commission is expected to approve $5,346,000 for the Bristol Housing Authority and $190,000 for the Bristol Technical Educational Center.

The state Bond Commission is expected to meet on Friday, Jan. 25, in Room 1E, Legislative Office Building, at 10:30 a.m.

The $5,346,000 for the Bristol Housing Authority will finance alterations, renovations and improvements for revitalization of state low and moderate housing units, said a release from Nicastro and Wright.

The $190,000 for the Bristol Technical Education Center is part of a $1.5 million statewide funding package to finance alterations and improvements at the state’s various technical high schools.

“We are pleased the state Bond Commission is prepared to approve this funding request for Bristol,” Representatives Wright and Nicastro said in the joint news release. “These are important projects for our community and it makes sense that our buildings and facilities are well maintained. We thank Governor Malloy for placing the funding items on the state Bond Commission’s agenda for action.”
