Police investigate Walgreens robbery

The Walgreens at 535 Farmington Ave. was robbed Sunday night by a man who seemed to be carrying a gun, police reported.
The police said that at approximately 9:30 p.m., Walgreens at 535 Farmington Ave., was robbed when a lone male entered the store and implied to a cashier that he had a gun. Police said the suspect engaged the cashier in conversation whereupon he told her he had a gun and to hand over all the money in the cash register. The cashier complied and the suspect fled out the front door and was last seen running across Farmington Avenue heading toward the Whole Donut.
Police said the suspect was described as white, approximately 5’11”, 170 pounds with brown hair. Police said the suspect also was wearing a dark blue puffy jacket, a dark-colored baseball style cap, a gray-hooded sweatshirt, light jeans and white sneakers.
The cashier was not injured in the incident, police said.
Police said officers from the Bristol Police Patrol Division as well as detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division responded to investigate.
At this time an undetermined amount of cash was taken, said police.
