Deceased man found near railroad tracks died of self-inflicted injuries

The identity of a body found along the railroad tracks between Center and Blakeslee streets has not been released yet, pending notification of the family, however police said the man died as a result of “self-inflicted injuries.” At about 11:30 Sunday morning, the body of an unresponsive 32-year-old male was discovered by an individual walking in a wooded area along the tracks. The individual called 9-1-1, and police announced the man as being deceased. A press release said the man was homeless, and a name wouldn’t be release until his family, who is out-of-state, was notified.
