Imagine Nation offers activities for children during Feb. break

The Imagine Nation issued the following release about upcoming activities at the Bristol museum

The ImagineNationMuseum, located at One Pleasant Street in Bristol, will have something new and exciting happening every day during the week of February school vacation from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.!


Monday, February 18th, learn what it takes to be president of the United States and make a craft honoring Abe Lincoln or George Washington in celebration of President’s Day.  What would YOU do if you were president?


Tuesday, February 19th is Tasty Treats Tuesday with Jodie Fritz, creator of the Price Chopper Kids Cooking Club.   Have fun mixing, making and tasting quick, easy recipes in an interactive session designed by Jodie Fitz just for kids!  Sessions will run from 1-1:30pm, 1:45-2:15pm, and 2:30-3:00pm. 


On Wednesday, February 20th, celebrate Black History Month with Team ESPN and Jay Harris, ESPNSportsCenter anchor!  Listen to Jay read the book “Martin’s Big Words” by Doreen Rappaport at 10:30am, followed by a birthday celebration in his honor.


On Thursday, February 21st, visit with pediatric dentists and learn all about healthy habits for terrific teeth during Dental Health Day!  Show off your terrific teeth as you craft a smile in the Imagine It! Art Area, and create a special Tooth Holder to store your fallen treasures.  Have a loose tooth ready to fall out?  Write a letter to the tooth fairy at our Tooth Tales station.


On Friday, February 22nd, have fun designing and constructing exciting hands-on projects with G.E. volunteers as you bring your imagination to life for National Engineers Day!  Learn about the different types of engineering as you visit different activity stations throughout the museum. 10am-4pm.


Want to meet one of the residents of our southwestern Greenscape?  Live Animal Encounters will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 11-11:30am and 2-2:30pm.  On Tuesday, there will also be Story Times at 10-10:30am and 1:00-1:30pm, all featuring enjoying, charming stories about wintertime, snowmen, fun, and friends!
