The Board of Directors of the Bristol Center for Arts & Culture is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2013 annual ACE Awards. The ACE awards, which stand for Art, Culture and Entertainment, will be awarded to Richard Theriault and posthumously to Frances C. Wilson at an annual fundraising dinner held at the BristolCenter for Arts & Culture, located in the CarouselMuseum, on Saturday, May 4. The award was created to honor an individual(s) or organization(s) who have contributed to the art, culture, or entertainment in the Greater Bristol Community.
Frances C. Wilson was the owner of the Wilson Dance Studio, where she taught children tap, ballet, pointe, jazz, and ballroom dancing for 52 years.
Richard Theriault has been the musical director and conductor of the Bristol Brass and Wind Ensemble for the last four years and the director of the Bristol Reunion Jazz Band since its inception.
The ACE awards will be presented at an annual fundraising dinner on Saturday, May 4, 2013, and will include a cocktail hour, buffet dinner, awards ceremony, raffle, and music. A fitting door prize is a framed print created by 2007 ACE Award recipient, Glo Sessions, entitled “The Cap.”
The event begins at 6 p.m., and tickets are $50 each or $400 for a reserved table of eight.

The proceeds from this event will benefit the general operations of the New EnglandCarouselMuseum.
