Bristol man arrested in Walgreens robbery

A Bristol man has been arrested and charged with robbing the Walgreens at 525 Farmington Ave., on Tuesday afternoon. Police were called to Walgreens around 1 p.m. on Tuesday after a lone, white male suspect, 18-year-old Justin Pierce of 39 Washington St., was seen by a store manager concealing items, a press release said. The manager confronted Pierce, who then assaulted the manager and began waving around a pocket knife, the release said. Pierce left the store on foot with $29.96 worth of merchandise.
An investigation commenced, and Bristol police and youth divisions later located Pierce and took him into custody. Pierce was arrested and charged with first degree robbery and sixth degree larceny, and was held on a $10,000 bond.
