Bristol police arrested a Florida man who has been charged with being involved in a home invasion that took place in December of 2011.
Anthony J. Haynes, 31, of 415 East Ave. in Brooksville, Florida was arrested Thursday, a press release said, and charged with first degree robbery, first degree conspiracy to commit robbery, second degree larceny, home invasion, and criminal possession of a pistol/revolver.
On Dec. 12, 2011, police said Haynes is accused of entering into a home with a firearm and robbing the residents of money and cell phones.
Bristol police detectives traveled to Florida this week to the Hernando Detention Center in Brooksville, FL., and took custody of Haynes, and returned to Connecticut.
Haynes was being held on a $500,000 bond last week, and could potentially face being accused of fleeing to Florida to avoid arrest and prosecution, the release said. He was expected to be arraigned Friday morning.
