One down… another tonight… and finals Saturday for Miss CT pageant

June 21, 2013

The first night of preliminary competition is history for the Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen scholarship pageants.

Thursday night, the contestants hit the stage of the Garde Arts Center in New London for on-stage interview, talent, evening gown, and health and fitness competitions.

None of the locals from Bristol, Southington, and Plainville won the preliminary awards for talent and health and fitness. In the Miss category, Amaryllis Rodriguez, Miss New Haven County, won the health and fitness. Kaitlyn Bogue, Miss Capitol Region, won talent. In the Teens, Eliza Kanner, Miss University of New Haven’s Outstanding Teen won talent. And in health and fitness, Miss Wolcott’s Outstanding Teen Victoria Maringola.

The competition continues tonight with a second set of preliminaries. On Saturday, the top 10 will be announced and they will go on to compete to see who is the next Miss Connecticut of Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen.
