Ready to “Declare Your Style?”
Through this Wednesday, Aug. 21, Forever 21 has been offering, “Threebies: 3 Weeks, 3 Deals, 3 Outfits.”
The retailer has been stoking your Back to School fashion sense with the help of six “Global Influencers.” As the Influencers post their stylized looks on their own personal web channels, their readers and followers have been directed to vote for their favorite looks per week on Forever 21’s Facebook page, http://apps.facebook.com/wf-polls/pages/2aa35a36bbaf57eb
Press materials explain the campaign is “a nod to the aloof confidence of youth subculture, while staying on the pulse of what’s new and now in fashion’s latest trends. From pinched-up printed leggings, button-up plaids and military-inspired decals to athletic tops, oversized woven tops and varsity jackets, the new collection is packed with updated silhouettes and statement pieces to kick off the season.”
Forever 21 will offer one outfit from the Global Influencers comprised of select items to customers at a discounted price.
The influencers come from United States, Canada, France, Japan, U.K., and Mexico. Each of those influencers also aligned to charities in their market.
Once the Global Influencer contest has concluded on Wednesday, the winning influencer will present their charity with a donation (as well as all other participating charities) and gift pieces from Forever 21, provided by Forever 21 and presented in both Forever 21 and the influencer’s name.
The Global Influencers selected for Forever 21, and their charities, are:
U.S. – We Wore What, Charity: Behind the Book
Canada – Adventures in Fashion, Charity: Artbound
France – Pauline Fashion Blog, Charity: La Voix de L’enfant
U.K. – Natasha Footman, Charity: Kid’s Company
Mexico – Olivia Meza of Meow Magazine, Charity: Hijos de la Luma de Oaxaca, A.C.
Japan – Kurumi Nakara, Charity: Ashinaga Kokoro Juku Residential Facilities
“We Wore What” will represent the United States alongside the charity “Behind the Book,” an organization that brings authors and their books into individual classrooms to build literacy skills and create a community of life-long readers and writers.
“We are excited to launch our ‘Declare Your Style’ campaign which includes on-trend fashion for back to school at a great value,” said Linda Chang, Global Marketing Director, in a press release. “We felt it was important for each global influencer to be associated with a local charity that focuses on education and the creation of new opportunities.”
