Bristol resident hosting Princess Party benefit

On Sept. 29, the gymnasium of the Greater Waterbury YMCA will turn into a magic kingdom with princesses and princes galore. This fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals was the brainchild of Bristol’s Alyscia Talbot.
“Every child dreams of being a princess or a prince,” said Talbot in a press release announcing the event. “For a few magical hours these children will get to be royalty and enjoy some time in their very own fashion show.”
“It is a great way to spread the word about Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and our very own Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, raise money, and have fun,” said Talbot in her release.
Each child will have their makeup done, participate in public speaking, poise, etiquette lessons and will have the opportunity to walk in the Royalty on Parade Fashion Show.
A $10 fee per child is being charged with net proceeds going to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The program runs from 1:30 p.m. and culminates in a show starring each child at 3 p.m. The children are encouraged to come dressed for the part but costumes will be on hand for dress up.
Anyone interested can call the YMCA at (203)754-9622 for more information.
Pre-registration is required by Sept. 27.
