Police make arrest in Price Chopper robbery

A Bristol man was arrested over the weekend after police said he took items off the shelves at Price Chopper and returned them for a gift card.
Derrick S. Kulesa, 39, of 69 Orleans Dr., Bristol was arrested on Saturday evening and charged with third degree robbery and sixth degree larceny, and was held on a $15,000 bond.
A press release said Kulesa took items off the shelves, walked past the cashiers to the courtesy desk to return the items for a gift card. Before police arrived, Kulesa ran into the store security officer and knocked him aside, and fled from the store. He was caught by the security officer and store manager, who escorted him to the Loss Prevention Office.
