Parks and Rec. reports successful Halloween activities

BristolParks and Recreation Department celebrated Halloween this year with three successful events.

First, the new “Howl N’ Prowl Dog Costume Parade” kicked things off at RockwellPark on Oct. 24 with over 50+ dogs and their families attending. There was a costume contest, parade around the park, as well as paw print painting, and local dog vendors on hand.

Then, on Saturday Oct. 26, the 3rd annual Family Float Fright Night was held at the DennisMaloneAquaticsCenter. The event was completely sold out with 80-plus individuals in attendance. Families floated around the pool, enjoyed crafts, and other ghoulish goodies in the lobby.

Finally, on Sunday, Oct. 27 over 1,000 people attended the annual Halloween Carnival and Costume Parade at RockwellPark. The event included a costume parade around the park, a magic show featuring the Amazing Andy, carnival games, arts & crafts, train rides, Big Daddy Racing, video games, tattoos, inflatable slide, and Twinkles and Jingles the Clowns.
