Election Day is here, polls close at 8

Today is the day to vote to support decision makers and city leaders, and registered voters have until 8 p.m. today to do so. This morning, Republican mayor candidate Ken Cockayne was outside greeting voters at South Side School, with his son Kenny and his mother Marion. Cockayne is in the race for mayor along with Democratic candidate Chris Wilson. As of 10:30 a.m., 422 residents had voted at South Side School. At around 11 a.m., there were six new registered voters in Bristol. This is the first year where eligible residents can register to vote, and also vote in today’s municipal election.
