Stamford man threatens to ‘blow up’ City Hall

A Stamford man was arrested Monday after police said he threatened “to blow up (Bristol) City Hall during a phone conversation.”
Robert Daprile, 51, of Stamford was upset Monday afternoon after he found out a lien was placed on his property on Rockwell Avenue, a press release said. The lien is a result of “blight issues” with the property.
Daprile was located at his home in Stamford after he made the threat of putting a bomb in City Hall and blowing up the building, the release said. When officers located him at his home, he admitted to making the threat.
Daprile was arrested and brought to Bristol Police Department where he was charged with first degree threatening and second degree breach of peace and was held on a $40,000 bond.
