As the cold weather sets in, members of the community move indoors and become less active, but it doesn’t have to be that way. On Mix Street, the DennisMaloneAquaticCenter is an indoor pool facility that offers a wide range of programs for all ages, year round such as swim lesson, water exercise classes, a recreation swim team and so much more.
In an effort to help the community stay fit, a press release from the Parks and Recreation Department said the indoor pool will be offering 50 free “Start Today” passes to their water exercise programs. The pass serve as a one-time free entry for an individual to any of the nine water exercise programs offered including Aqua Zumba, Aqua Aerobics, Muscle Building, Water Walking, and Aqua Intensity. The pass is for a one-time free entry for an individual to any of the classes offered.
Residents may obtain passes from the front desk staff at the center and by providing the code “A new beginning.” Only one pass will be given to each person and must be accepted in person.
There are only 50 passes available. All passes will be entered into a raffle to win a free tee shirt, a BristolPark and Recreation water bottle and a $10 gift certificate to the facility. Passes will be available at the front desk starting Jan. 13.
“Start today” passes expire March 14, 2014.
