Bristol woman arrested for shoplifting, possession of heroin

A Bristol woman was arrested Tuesday after police said she was caught shoplifting from the Walmart on Farmington Avenue, while also being in possession of heroin.
Becky S. Ziegler, 34, of 135 Rockwell Ave., Apt. No. B, Bristol was arrested on Tuesday and first charged with sixth degree larceny for stealing a nail kit from Walmart, Bristol Police Lt. Donn Watson said.
Once police approached her she provided them with a false license. After further investigation officers recognized Ziegler, and then discovered she was in possession of about 2 grams of heroin. Ziegler was arrested in another incident and charged with illegal possession, illegal possession of narcotics, interfering with an officer, criminal impersonation, second degree false statement, second degree forgery and sixth degree larceny. She was released on bond and has a court date of Feb. 13.
