According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, the Bristol Board of Police Commissioners handed out several awards/commendations at its regular meeting on Tuesday.
William Matthews received the Distinguished Citizen’s Award for providing an extraordinary service to the Bristol Police Department; assisting a fellow citizen in need.
Bristol K-9 Police Officer Lance Podlesney received the Distinguished Service Medal/Officer of the Month Award for single handedly capturing two burglary suspects.
Bristol Police Officer Gregory Giannini and Officer Mark Kichar received the Lifesaving Commendation Award, for their prompt and alert actions that resulted in the documented saving of a life.
Bristol Police Officer Eric Hanson and Officer Adam Quinn received a Letter of Commendation/Officer of the Month Award, for outstanding work performance above the normal course of duty that is an example to all other employees, placing the Bristol Police Department in a positive light.
