Bristol man charged in string of robberies

Bristol police arrested a man they believe is responsible for the string of robberies that occurred in January and February at two different convenience stores.
Kevin Chamberlain, 42, of Bristol was arrested on Thursday, March 27 and charged with first degree robbery, three counts of second degree robbery, third degree robbery, and five counts of larceny, a press release said.
Chamberlain is being accused of committing five robberies in two months, three of which occurred at the Gulf Gas Station at 180 Riverside Ave., and the two others occurred at the Milk Store, located at 104 Wolcott St. No one was injured in any of these robberies, the release said.
As of last Friday Chamberlain was being held on a $420,000 bond.
