SONIC, America’s Drive-In, will open a new location in Bristol on May 7 at 1379 Farmington Ave. Whether it’s to enjoy a Cherry Limeade, signature Tots or a Real Ice Cream Shake for dessert, the Bristol community is invited to share a new flavor experience with SONIC, a press release said.
This location will feature a dining room to accommodate 64 people in addition to the iconic drive-in stall service, a convenient drive-thru and a patio for outdoor dining. Temporary operating hours will be 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., and starting May 12, the drive-in will begin regular hours of 7 a.m. until 12 a.m. daily. Fans of the drive-in’s Facebook page will get a sneak peak on May 6 from noon to 8 p.m.
“We’re excited to open our fourth SONIC Drive-In in the state of Connecticut,” SONIC franchisee Robert Mesite said in a press release. “The Bristol SONIC Grand Opening Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on May 7 with the Mayor and Chamber of Commerce in attendance for the official ribbon cutting. We will officially open for business to the public at the conclusion of the grand opening event.”

Sonic of CT is a SONIC franchise consisting of four partners based in Wallingford, Conn. Robert Mesite is the managing partner and currently operates three SONIC Drive-In locations in the Hartford area. The Bristol location has generated an additional 100 new jobs in the area, a press release said.
