Police found the man wanted in a case of attempted murder.
On Thursday, Bristol police reported Luis Ramos was taken into custody, without incident, in Kissimmee Fla.
Police said Ramos is accused of trying to shoot his girlfriend last Monday evening. He was being sought on the charges of attempted murder, reckless endangerment, threatening, risk of injury to a minor, and criminal use of a firearm.
A press release said police responded to a domestic dispute involving a firearm at 111 Shawn Dr., last Monday, a little after 5 p.m. The female victim said she had gotten into an argument with Ramos, her “live-in boyfriend,” who pointed a revolver at her and pulled the trigger more than once. However, the firearm malfunctioned each time.
Ramos fled the scene before police showed up, and the victim did not report any injuries. However their 4-year-old child was in the apartment during the incident, although was unharmed. Officers located two guns in the home.
Ramos will be held in Florida pending extradition back to Connecticut.
