Summer is the time to wear a wardrobe of white. This summer, Bristol is once again hosting a White Night party, where guests are encouraged to wear white (as best as they can). If you’re looking for summer whites, Kohl’s on New Britain Avenue in Plainville features the Simply Vera Vera Wang collection. And Simply Vera has loads of options for your white wardrobe.
Press materials from Simply Vera Vera Wang explain, “Universally appealing, and fantastic against a sunkissed glow, white should be your summer go-to. Whether it’s a stark white top paired back to a vibrant print bottom, or if you dare to sport a monochromatic head-to-toe look, your summer wardrobe is incomplete without it.”
This year’s White Party, intended to celebrate Bristol’s arts and culture, is being held Saturday at the American Clock and Watch Museum, 100 Maple St., Bristol from 6 to 9 p.m.
Using the museum as a backdrop, model Sara Foster offers examples of the Nuit Blanche-friendly garments, in white and off-whites, available from Simply Vera Vera Wang.
In addition to being open for the White Party on Saturday, the American Clock and Watch Museum (ClockandWatchMuseum.org) is open seven days a week 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum is located in the 1801 home of Miles Lewis on Bristol’s historic Federal Hill. The museum’s collection features 1,500 clocks and watches of assorted vintages.
