The polls are scheduled to be open in Bristol on Tuesday, Aug. 12 for both the Republican primary and Democratic primary election.
Here are the following party-endorsed candidates of the Democratic party nominated in the Municipal Office: Kevin McCauley and Mary Rydingsward for the Democratic Registrar of Voters. Each candidate will serve two terms, and the nomination will be filled at the City Election on Nov. 4.
Candidates for the Republican Primary are Tom Foley and John McKinney for the governor’s slot on the November ballot; Penny Bacchiochi, Heather Somers, and David Walker for the lieutenant governor’s slot on the GOP ballot; and Sharon McLaughlin and Angel Cadena for the comptroller’s slot on the Republican ballot.
The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations:
*77-1 Edgewood School: 345 Mix St.
*77-2 Northeast School: 530 Stevens St.
*77-3 Mountain View School: 71 Vera Road
*77-4 Bristol Eastern High School: 632 King St.
*78-1 Chippens Hill Middle School: 551 Peacedale St.
*78-2 West Brisol School: 500 Clark Ave.
*79-1 South Side School: 21 Tuttle Rd.
79-2 B.P.O. Elks Lodge #1010: 126 South St.
79-3 Greene Hills School: 718 Pine St.
Absentee ballots will be counted at City Hall on 111 North Main St in Bristol. In order to vote in Connecticut, residents must be at least 18 years old on or before the next election, be a U.S. citizen, be a resident of a Connecticut town, and must not have been convicted of a felony.
