Bristol police responded to an armed robber on Broad Street Saturday afternoon.
Police said that at 12:04 p.m., they responded to TD Bank North, 414 Broad St., Bristol for a call about an armed robbery. When police arrived, they learned the suspect had fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Police said bank personnel stated that a lone white male stood on line in the bank and upon approaching the bank teller he handed that person a note demanding money and stating that he a gun. The suspect was given an undetermined amount of cash and fled the scene, said a news release from the police department.
Police said the suspect is described as a white male, in his early 20s, wearing a baseball cap, long dark shorts, and a long sleeve shirt. At this time, police said it is unknown whether a vehicle was involved in the incident. No weapon was ever shown, and no one was injured in the robbery, said the police.
At this time the incident is still under investigation.
