INFORMATIONAL/ HEALTH FAIR HELD BY THE BRISTOL SENIOR CENTER. 8 a.m. to noon. Brings agencies to the Bristol Senior Center that promote physical, mental, and emotional health together to explain their services. 35 vendors. Have blood pressure, blood sugar, and hearing tested. Featured speakers every hour. 9 a.m., Cynthia DelFaveroa from the North Center Area Agency on Aging will speak about understanding Medicare and the Open Enrollment Period. 10 a.m., Miles Everett, RN, RD, CDE, of the Bristol Hospital Diabetes Center will speak about “Eating to Live, Not Living to Eat.” 11 a.m., Charles Motes, the director of the Bristol Burlington Health District, will speak on “Meet the Readies: Being ready for any type of emergency.” Bristol Center Center, 240 Stafford Ave., Bristol. AARP SMART DRIVER COURSE. 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Covers the effects of aging and medication on driving, local hazards, accident prevention measures, more. Films and discussions will be presented and a driver’s manual provided. No written or on the road test required. Upon completion of the course, an insurance company must give a discount of at least 5 percent on auto insurance. Cost is $15 for AARP members, providing a membership number, and $20 for other attendees. Plainville Senior Center, 200 East St., Plainville. Sign up at the center has begun.

INTRO TO MEDITATION CLASS. 3 to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays. Course is instructed by Jayaprabha Mare who has trained, practiced, and lived a meditative and yogic lifestyle for more than two decades.
