Letter: Senator-elect praises Workforce program

To the editor:
I had the pleasure of attending the Dec. 19 graduation ceremony for the members of the joint Workforce program of Bristol Adult Education and Rowley Spring and Stamping Corp.
The graduates’ stories of perseverance and hard work were truly inspiring. It makes me proud to see local business leaders and educators like Bristol Adult Education supervisor Larry Covino all working together to make this pilot program a success.
When I get to the state capitol, I intend to spread the word to other state legislators about this program and the wonderful opportunities it is creating for our local residents. This Bristol model changed seven adult lives and will change many other lives for the better, and it should be replicated throughout Connecticut.
