An indoor tag sale featuring at least 40 vendors will be hosted again this year by Advocates for Bristol Seniors.
Scheduled for April 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the event will be held at the Bristol Senior Center on Stafford Avenue, rain or shine, with plenty of free parking.
Spaces are now available for rent.
A space including a table rents for $20 and one without a table is $15. A second room has been made available this year if the response warrants. Spaces may be reserved by calling (860)583-9553.
Last year’s sale was the first fund raiser ever sponsored by the Advocates. The proceeds were used toward the cost of its many programs, which last year included presenting an attorney from The Center for Medicare Advocacy who discussed the practice of “outpatient” hospital admission.
The Advocates are committed to presenting programs and forums vital to the welfare of Bristol’s older citizens.
A private, independent organization, the Advocates have been serving for over a half-century and for most of that time have provided steady financial support to those local agencies that serve seniors. These include, but are not limited to, The Grandparents Fund of the Bristol Community Organization, Meals for the Needy at Zion Lutheran Church, The Homeless Shelter at St. Vincent DePaul, the Christian Fellowship Center, and the Bristol branch of the Salvation Army.
