On Tuesday, Feb. 24, Bristol will be welcoming WWE Champion Bob Backlund at the Business Builders Breakfast.
Backlund, an inductee of the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame, also is the author of “The All-American Boy: Lessons and Stories on Life from Wrestling Legend Bob Backlund,” which will be released next month, according to a news release from the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce. He will serve as the guest speaker of the event, where the main theme will focus on “the power of being positive,” the release said.
The mission of Business Builders is to build business relationships, provide business leads, promote education, and offer support and motivation. The networking group normally meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
During the event, the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce, Business Builders, and the City of Bristol will honor Nuchie’s Restaurant for 40 years of business and community service. Over the years, the restaurant has taken part in a variety of service projects, such as donating food and clothing to the Christian Fellowship Center, sponsoring the Forestville Little League Team, organizing the Forestville Annual Carol Sing and the Forestville Parade, as well as allowing the Forestville Village Association meetings to be held at Nuchie’s, according to the release. Owners Michael and David Pasqualicchio have served the community in a number of ways. David taught CCD for 10 years at St. Gregory Church, has donated his time and refreshments for the Day of Caring, and has kept Forestville free of litter on a daily basis, the release said.
The breakfast will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Nuchie’s Restaurant, located at 164 Central Street, Forestville. Admission is $15 for Chamber members and $20 for non-members.
