Police arrest two suspects connected to burglary at D&D Package Store

Two men are facing charges after taking a cash register from the D&D Package Store on Pine Street overnight.

Juan Gonzalez, of no certain address and his brother, Jesus Gonzalez, of 54 Center Street, stole a cash register and another cash register drawer from the package store before fleeing in an easterly direction while in a dark colored vehicle, according to a press release from the Bristol Police Department. When officers were alerted to an active burglar alarm, they found that the front window of the store was smashed out in order to gain entrance, said the release.

After a bulletin was submitted to surrounding towns, the Plainville Police Department found a discarded register that was taken from the burglary, the release said. While checking the area, officers found the vehicle the two suspects drove away in, according to the release.

Juan Gonzalez was charged with third degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third degree burglary, sixth degree larceny and second degree criminal mischief. Jesus Gonzalez was charged with conspiracy to commit third degree burglary and conspiracy to commit sixth degree larceny.
