Mayor to present proclamation to Greater Bristol RSVP for service to community

On April 7, Mayor Ken Cockayne will join 27 mayors across the state of Connecticut in a day of recognition to highlight the impact of Senior Corps and AmeriCorps on city challenges.

Cockayne will be meeting with members of the Greater Bristol RSVP to present a proclamation commemorating their generous service to the community from the great City of Bristol.

The Mayors Day of Recognition for National Service is a nation-wide bipartisan effort to recognize the positive impact of national service in cities, to thank those who serve, and to encourage citizens to give back to their communities.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is a Senior Corps program sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service, in partnership locally with Bristol Community Organization and United Way of West Central Connecticut.
