Crews repairing water main break on Route 6

Crews are on the site of a water main break that happened on Route 6 near Franklin Street.
According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, crews may need to shut the water off along Route 6 to make the repair. The Water Department expects the repair to take at least eight hours, the release said.
Traffic may be reduced to one lane while crews work to repair the leak, and residents are asked to use alternate routes if possible, the release said.
