The parade isn’t until Sept. 27, but groups and organizations are encouraged to reserve a spot now for this year’s edition of the Bristol Mum Parade. This year’s Mum Festival theme is “What Do YOU Love About Bristol?”
Schools, marching bands, clubs, churches, fire departments, scout groups, dancers, veterans’ groups, musical/theater groups, local businesses, car enthusiasts, and many more community organizations and individuals will take part in the 54th annual parade, stepping off at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27. Advance registration is required by Aug. 29.
Registration is available online at: http://bristolmumfestival.org/mumfestival/pages/paradesignup.asp (or go to the main festival page at www.bristolmumfestival.org and look for the parade registration link).
To receive a paper application or for more information, send an email with your group’s name and mailing address to firstname.lastname@example.org and leave a message with your name, phone number and mailing address.
The Mum Festival has one of the largest parades in the state. You do not need to be a Bristol group or organization to be in the Mum Parade, as spectators come from surrounding communities.
