Joyce Rayno will present a program on the Old Leatherman, a mysterious traveler who often came through the Bristol area during the late 19th century. He was noted for his suit, which was constructed of old bootlegs laced together, including the moccasins that he wore on his feet. While in Bristol he would take up residence in Tory’s Den. This program is co-sponsored by the Bristol Federal Hill Association and the Bristol Historical Society. The program will be presented at the Bristol Historical Society, 98 Summer St., Bristol, on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m.
Members are admitted free, non-members for $5. Refreshments will be served.
