Toys, clothing, baby supplies sought for ‘Winter Wish List’

The Parent and Child Center at Bristol Hospital is accepting donations of new toys, clothing, and baby supplies for its “Winter Wish List” Program.

The center distributes holiday and winter gifts to low-income families who have participated in its programs over the last year. Needy families are invited to submit a “Winter Wish List” of needs (and wants) to get them through the winter months, and community donations are matched with families requesting those items.

Gifts can be dropped off at the Parent and Child Center, which is located at 9 Prospect St. in Bristol, on the following dates and times:

Monday, Dec. 1 (5 to 7 p.m.);

Monday, Dec. 7 (8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.);

Wednesday, Dec. 9 (11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.);

Monday, Dec. 14 (4:30 to 6 p.m.);

Tuesday, Dec. 15 (8 to 10 a.m.); or by appointment.

Please wrap all gifts and clearly label each package with the gender and appropriate age of the child that should be given the gift.

If you have questions or are interested in donating, but cannot come during the scheduled drop-off times, call or e-mail Kimberly Carmelich at the Parent and Child Center (860) 585-3481 or kcarmeli@bristolhospital.org.
