In just a couple of weeks, the Women & Girls’ Fund of Main Street Community Foundation will be entering its 15th year and commemorating its successful investment in programs that improve the lives of local women and girls. To begin the celebration, the fund is initiating “A Toast to Women,” a pay it forward campaign to honor 1,000 special women who have made a positive impact in the lives of others.
Members of the community are being invited to join this campaign. For just $15, you can honor or remember a woman who has made a difference in your life. The donation “toasts” a mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend or relative; acknowledges the positive impact they have made on you; and supports your neighbors.
“Being able to honor all the special women and girls in my life, from my Mom to my granddaughter, with a gift that will keep on giving has connected me to the true meaning of the holidays,” stated Jeanine Audette, advisory board chair of the Women & Girls’ Fund in a press release. “It is a wonderful opportunity to honor a loved one and create a lasting change in your community through your support of the Fund and the important programs it helps make possible.”
The Women & Girls’ Fund will send a certificate to you to share with your honorees who will also be acknowledged at the Fund’s annual Wonder of Women (WOW) event on March 30, 2016.
You can make a contribution to the Women & Girls’ Fund at any time by sending donations to: Main Street Community Foundation, P.O. Box 2702, Bristol, CT 06010 or by donating online at www.mainstreetfoundation.org.
