Ronald A. Mallett, 64, of Bristol, passed away Wednesday, March 16, surrounded by his loving family at the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, Plantsville. He was the husband of Norma (Dragon) Mallett.
Ron was born in Lewiston, Maine on Aug. 29, 1951, son of the late Albert and Jeanne (Fortin) Mallett. He was operations manager for G & W Property Management. Everyone who knew “Pop” knows what a fighter he was. The love he had for his family kept him going strong. Nothing mattered more to him than his family.
Ron enjoyed the outdoors, loved waking up to go out and take care of his horses and had a huge garden, which he was so very proud. He had his grandchildren there every weekend helping him as they were the love of his life.
Besides his wife, Norma, he leaves behind his children and their spouses, Ryan and Christina Mallett, Marcy and Dale Ouellette all of Terryville; sister Donna Mallett-Horne and her husband Boyd of Bristol; grandchildren Zachary Mallett and Katelynn Ouellette of Terryville; and several nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his brother Wayne Mallett and sister Gail Norton.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Bondhus for his years of care along with Mary Leahy, APRN and to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center of CT, Neighborhood 1B, for all the compassion and care. He was treated like family during his stay.
