Obituaries: MaryAnn DiPinto



MaryAnn (Tutko) DiPinto, 72, of Bristol, widow of Victor Orzo DiPinto passed away peacefully on the evening of Saturday (April 2, 2016) after a long and courageous battle with illness. MaryAnn was born in New Britain on January 31st, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Andrew & Helen (Zdanuck) Tutko. She was a devoted Mom and longtime caregiver for her husband Victor who predeceased her.  A long time Bristol resident, she also was a member of St. Anthony Church.  MaryAnn was a great seamstress and enjoyed knitting as a hobby. She even tried to teach her granddaughter Victoria the “trade” as well.  She was an avid “crafter” and a MASTER shopper, who also enjoyed day trips to the casinos of our wonderful state. MaryAnn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Thomas and Jeanna DiPinto, Sr. of New Britain; her two grandchildren that were the sunshine of her life: Victoria and Thomas Andrew DiPinto, Jr.; her wonderful sister: Barbara Dalpe of Florida; a brother and sister-in-law: Michael and Sandi Tutko of Westbrook and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8th, 2016 at 9am from the Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Anthony Church, 111 School St., Bristol at 10am for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call and celebrate the memory of MaryAnn at the funeral home on Thursday evening, April 7th, from 6pm till 8pm.
