Bristol’s role in recycling movement discussed April 23

Join Elmer Madsen, “Mr. Conservation” for his program entitled “Bristol’s Role in the Connecticut Recycling Movement.”
This program will be held on Saturday April 23 at 1 p.m. at the Bristol Historical Society. The pivotal role that Bristol, especially its youth population, played in the creation of Connecticut’s recycling programs will be discussed. Little is known of the city’s place in this movement.
Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. Bring recyclable metal or bottles to the back parking lot of BHS, 98 Summer St., Bristol where staff members will be available to place them in a recycle bin. This will not only keep the environment clean, but also assist BHS financially.
Light refreshments will be served.
