Edwin Clement, age 83, of Bristol, was called home to the arms of our heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ, on Friday, April 8, 2016. Ed was born on May 3, 1932 to the late Andrew and Vera (Percy) Clement in Alloa, Scotland and educated in Scotland schools. Ed migrated to England in the early 1960’s and was a London Bobby, He loved adventure and later moved to Canada where he was a correction officer, Family and friends drew him to the United States, where he finally settled in Connecticut. Ed worked as a computer engineer for many years at Data General. He loved the arts and expressed himself in sculpture, photography and painting, which he did until the end of his life. Ed also loved the sea, and was an experienced sailor. Ed adored his family. He leaves his life partner Sherri Christy of Bristol, CT. His beloved son Andrew Clement of California, his wife Lisabeth and his precious granddaughter Natasha, who was the light of his life,z Nephews and a niece.
Ed was predeceased by his brother Andrew of Malaga, Spain. A memorial service will be held on at later date at the First Bible Baptist Church, 12 Granger Lane, Plainville, CT, In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Bible Baptist Church, 12 Granger Lane, Plainville, CT 06062 in Ed’s name.
