Michael Martusis, 36, of Manchester, NH (orig of Bristol) passed away suddenly on Tue, May 24, 2016. He was born May 22, 1980 to Ronald and Linda (Hitchcock) Martusis in Bristol CT. He was a 1998 graduate of Bristol Eastern High School, He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2004 at the height of The War in Afganastan & was assigned to the 10th Mountain Division, Ft. Drum, NY promoting to Specialist rank, honorably discharging in 2013. He was known as the guy with the huge heart, one who would give you the shirt off his back. Michael was an avid drummer who loved playing in his band for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; Ronald Martusis & Linda Hitchcock of Bristol, both sets of grandparents Walter & Ines Hitchcock of Unionville and John & Concetta Martusis of Bristol. Michael is survived by a son, Draven, along with his wife Robin of Manchester NH, a sister Rebecca Hogan, a brother Joseph Martusis, nieces Paige, Kailey, Lainey & nephew Tristan all of Bristol, along with many other family and friends. Friends and family are invited to gather for a graveside service which will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Greenwood Cemetery, 644 Lovely St, Avon CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Farmington Bank c/o Michael W. Martusis Memorial Fund, 475 Broad Street, Bristol, CT 06010.
