Obituaries: Leon Jacy

Leon Jacy, 83, of Bristol, husband of Joyce (Hein) Jacy, passed away on Monday (June 20, 2016) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford.  Leon was born in Hartford on March 5, 1933 and was a son of the late Alexander and Alexandria (Stoky) Jacy.  He was a longtime Bristol resident, retired from CT Mutual Life Ins Co., and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bristol.  Leon proudly served in the United States Army and he enjoyed reading, gardening and walking.  Besides his wife of 58 years, Leon is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law: Paul and Nany Jacy, and their children, Emily and Christopher, of Glastonbury, James Jacy , of Bristol and Jeffrey Jacy, of Windsor Locks; a brother: Walter Jacy, of San Jose, CA and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a daughter-in-law: Barbara Jacy; a brother: Alex Jacy and a sister: Martha Selenskas.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016, 11 AM, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 154 Meadow Street, Bristol. Burial, with military honors’ will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the Funk Funeral Home 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol on Wednesday between 6 and 8 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 154 Meadow Street, Bristol, CT 06010.
