Free meals for kids at library this summer

The Summer Food Service Program ensures that all children receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. This summer, USDA plans to serve more than 200 million free meals to children 18 years and under at approved SFSP sites. The Children’s Department at the Bristol Public Library is a free lunch site. Lunch is served every day in the Children’s Department from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The program continues through Aug. 19.

Children 0-18 years old are eligible to receive lunch; menus include: sandwiches, vegetables, fruit, fruit juice, and milk.

Children receive summer reading raffle tickets for eating lunch at the library.  Visit www.facebook.com/BristolLibraryChildren to find out all about free lunch and summer reading at the Bristol Public Library.
