Obituaries: Richard F. Prindle

Richard F. Prindle, 89, widower of Elaine (Erling) Prindle, passed away, Monday (June 27, 2016) at Sheriden Woods. Richard was born in Bristol, on May 6, 1927, the only child to the late Willard T. and Alice (Goritz) Prindle. After graduating High School, Richard served his country honorably as a Merchant Marine during the Second World War. Richard was a gifted carpenter and craftsman, spending his career as a Home Builder and owner of Prindle Kitchens and Penn Dutch Kitchens. Richard was a lifelong Bristol resident with many passions, including: sailing, local politics and his garden. He was a member of the Kiltonic American Legion Post #72, Southington. Most of all, he loved his church and spending time with his family. Richard is survived by his three daughters: Enid Prindle, of Bristol, Pamela J. Prindle, of Avon, Doreen Tessier, of Bristol; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be celebrated at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Friday (July 1, 2016) at 1:30PM. Burial will follow with a procession to West Cemetery, Bristol.
